The General Department of Customs has just issued Document No. 12166/TCHQ-VNACCS dated October 8, 2014 guiding the implementation of declaration, amending and supplementing the criteria "expected means of transport" on the VNACCS export declaration.

Based on the export plan, the customs declarant declares the name of the intended means of transport in the criterion "Expected means of transport" according to the declaration instructions on the VNACCS/VCIS system. However, in the past time, enterprises have encountered many problems related to declaration, amendment and supplement with this criterion.

Accordingly, the General Department of Customs instructs that when there is a change in the declared means of transport, to perform the amendment and supplement in customs clearance (EDD/EDA01) on the System to get approval from the Sub-department of Customs. the place where the declaration is registered shall approve the revised content as prescribed.

In case the declaration has been cleared, the customs declarant shall present a notice of change in the name of the means of transport, the shipping number in writing (accept fax, e-mail) of the carrier or the written request for amendment. the name of the means of transport for the Customs to supervise the checkpoint of export.

On that basis, the supervisory Customs shall record the name of the means of transport, the actual number of trips to the e-Customs system (the "HQ Record") when carrying out procedures to confirm the goods passing through the monitoring area.
